Seventh progress report on counterterrorism and Summary Terrorist Threat Assessment Netherlands 11

The report looks in turn at international cooperation, the fight against polarisation and radicalisation, the creation of an effective organisation and instruments, the implementation of security measures, preparations for (the consequences of) a possible attack, communication and the provision of information.

The threat level for the Netherlands is currently denoted as limited. This means that the risk of a terrorist attack is currently deemed to be relatively low. A number of developments have taken place during the last few months which have made an attack in the Netherlands more likely. This increased likelihood is due to an increase in international influence on the jihadist threat in Western Europe as a whole.
