The attacks in London this summer demonstrated once again that there is also a major danger of terrorist violence in Europe. Unfortunately this is also the case as regards the Netherlands. The terrorist threat to the Netherlands is still a substantial one. The appendix to this letter1 contains an explanation of the significance of this threat level and the system of threat levels employed in the DTN.
