Letter first report on counterterrorism

Confronted with the threat of international terrorism, especially Islamist terrorism, and the reality of Islamist radicalism at home, the Netherlands has taken systematic measures in many areas within a short space of time in response to the new situation. After the attacks of 11 September, a wide variety of measures were taken to better protect vulnerable objects and persons and monitor suspect individuals.
