Islamist radicalisation among the Turkish Dutch
This exploratory study ‘Islamist radicalisation among the Turkish Dutch’ examines the degree of Islamist radicalisation among Turkish-Dutch people.
The study shows that the vast majority of Turkish-Dutch Muslims distance themselves from Islamist extremism and that there is only marginal support for radical currents in Islam. This phenomenon is not new and has not changed in recent years.
The study is based on open sources (including academic literature and media reports), the websites and social media accounts of several organisations, and interviews with experts and staff from various organisations, including government bodies.
